In September 2013, Ed Trask invited Jenn Ponci and Ursula Young to participate in the RVA Street Art Festival. The event took place at the GRTC Depot; the artists were encouraged to design their murals within the “transportation” theme. With the assistance of Meme and Maggie Smith, the wall grew to become a Few and Far Women production with pieces by Hops, Merlot, Meme, and Reds. In honor of Richmond, Virginia history, Ursula painted a black woman holding up a vintage freight train led by Ponci’s civil war-era steam engine titled ‘The General’. Gratitude goes out to Ed and Kelly Trask, Matt Betts, and young artist Jarred for supporting this project.
